I'm not 100% sure how to start writing this post. Joaana and Aaron's backyard Cape Cod wedding wasn't supposed to be my first wedding of the year. It wasn't even supposed to take place on Cape Cod, or in a backyard, or only have ten guests. All of that aside - and despite temps reaching into the high 80's - and while shooting with a mask on...I still had a fantastic time. Maybe it was that being back out in the world with a camera made things resemble the old normal. Maybe it was that Joanna and Aaron's family and few friends who attended cared so much they quaratined themselves so that they could celebrate without PPE. Or maybe it was just proof that you don't need a massive wedding when all you want is to be married. I don't know, but I do know that I couldn't be more grateful to these two, for rolling with the world's most unexpected circumstances and persevering to have a fantastic, gorgeous day, viruses be damned.
