Gillian & Alan: Married – Boston

Well, today we reach a milestone. I've now photographed a wedding every single day of the week. Gillian and Alan were married on a Monday in Boston a few weeks back, but that's far from the coolest part of their story. These two are London residents, who last year decided to get married somewhere they could get a marriage license and have a ceremony in the same week. Cut to mid-March, and we found ourselves at Boston's Omni Parker hotel prepping to head to the Common for a first look, and then the Brattle Book Shop for their outdoor (in March!) ceremony.

From there, we headed to Mike's Pastry in the North End, before wrapping our day in Cambridge with a killer sunset view of the Boston Skyline. A few favorites:

Rachel & Matt: Engaged – Strawberry Banke Portsmouth

Not all clients are created equal. Well, not all clients are clients, some are family. Rachel is Jess' cousin, and was a bridesmaid at our wedding back in 2011. We've all known Matt for a long time, and I couldn't have been more excited when they asked me to do their engagement photos (good friend Katie Noble is shooting their wedding so I can get my party on). Rachel and Matt and planning a summer wedding, so wanted to incorporate winter in New England to their engagement shoot. I'm always telling couples that the best engagement shoots are them doing what they do on a regular day off, what they do for fun - these guys couldn't have taken that advice any more perfectly. Throw in a low 50s "winter" day last week, and we had the makings of a fantastic shoot. A few favorites:

Marissa & Ian: Married – Gloucester

Two winter weddings? It's rare, but it happens, and 2019 just happens to be one of those years. Throw in that Marissa's sister Ally's wedding back in 2013 was an all-timer...and you know you're in for a great day. Going in, there was definitely some trepidation about the weather and the chance for some significant snow (but) shockingly, the weatherman was wrong, and we got just a dusting (just enough for some snowy photos!). Thanks to Marissa and Ian for braving the Gloucester cold and wind for some great outdoor images - a few favorites:
