Melanie & Jon: Married – Colonial Hall at Rockafellas

On her wedding day, Melanie said, "I picked February because I didn't want rain, snow would be OK though." Well, it could have rained, because I don't think anyone could have predicted a 45-degree day dead in the middle of winter, but thankfully there wasn't even a cloud in the sky when Jess and I headed up to Salem for Melanie and Jon's wedding. I'd never photographed at Colonial Hall before, but it was an absolutely stunning venue to work in, right in the middle of downtown Salem. To add to the good news, just yesterday Melanie called to say that her jewelry (she made their wedding bands herself!) will soon be featured on Etsy's homepage, so we're already in the process of planning for another shoot. Special thanks to Salem native Mark Davidson for his help in photographing all of the details from Melanie and Jon's day.
